An interesting graph comparing the early 80s to today in terms of key economic metrics.
Unemployment has been rising, but it’s still lower than in the 80s. I shudder to think about buying a home at 18% interest. Egads. My folks were so fortunate to buy in the 70s, before the great wave of inflation hit.
